Whoa Whoa Hot, born Shannon Floyd was raised on the west side of Atlanta, Ga, in Bankhead Court. He was the youngest of seven (7) children. Like many of the youth from inner-city Atlanta, Hot made his way out to the gritty streets fending for himself at a young age, effortlessly becoming involved in petty crimes in hopes of gaining just enough to afford the bare necessities.
As he grew older, the seriousness of his crimes also grew. At seventeen (17), Hot caught his first felony. After being in and out of incarceration, Hot decided it was time to pursue a different career, not just for himself but for his family.
In 2019, a childhood friend encouraged him to give music a try. After releasing a few singles, Hot drew the attention of Pis Po Records, a new independent label out of Junction City, Kansas. CEO Mashaun Baker was impressed with Hot’s sound and signed him immediately.
With the label baking and anintenseöreburninginside, Hot released his debut single, “HOT,” on January 08, 2021. With just one song out, Hot caught the attention of Cory Sparks, VP of Epic Records. When negotiations didn’t pan through for a major label partnership, Hot began working on his next release. “Lil Boy, “Hot’s latest single released on October 28th, 2022.
