Richmond,CA natives Rico Crowder,Dez Mapp,Jerry Perkins and Lorenzo Chew of the R&B group Sons of Funk has signed with Alamo Consulting Group Global as it’s marketing firm.. Sons of Funk were an American R&B/Hip-Hop group signed to No Limit Records . They released their first and only album, The Game of Funk on April 21, 1998. The album ranked #44 on the Billboard 200. The group released the hit single Pushing Inside Of You,which sold 1.2 million copies,,”Pushing’ Inside You” made it to #10 on the Billboard Hot 100.,They followed that song with another smash hit “I Got The Hookup”which Peaked at #1 on Billboard Hot Rap Singles. The group also produced songs on Silk the Shocker’s Made Man and Mo B Dick’s Gangsta Harmony.Sons of Funk toured the Continental United States in 1998. They disappeared from the music industry and have now reassembled in 2014 to release a new album their first single inside of you is a unique follow up to the classic pantie dropper hit pushing Inside you the underground trap R&B pioneers are back with more street banging baby making music for the new millennium. Sons of Funk will begin touring later this month as they will open up for Legendary R&B Group New Edition in Monroe,LA.
