Price feat. G Perico – No Sleep In The City
Following the release of his critically-acclaimed project, The Price EP – which garnered praise from media outlets like Complex, Revolt, Rap Radar and Billboard – Price kicks off 2023 with his fiery new single “No Sleep in the City.”
The esteemed recording artist/songwriter/producer continues to build on the momentum of last year’s release with a self-produced track that affirms his unrelenting determination to succeed – by any means necessary. Plus, he taps West Coast mainstay G Perico, amounting to a record that has the potential to become a regional anthem.
Directed by Price and NewHigh Filmz, the visual was previously uploaded to WorldStarHipHop’s YouTube channel, but today marks the first time the official audio has been released on streaming platforms.
On the new track, Price explains: “If you don’t work, you don’t lead!”
“No Sleep in the City” serves as a true calling card for an artist that has found their hustle. The song arrives fully formed, leaving no room for the indolent as Price raps his way into an ambitious mindset. “NSITC” acts as a precursor to his upcoming album, appropriately titled NO SLEEP IN THE CITY, due later this month.
Through a pocket of increasingly popular singles that speak to a natural talent, Price’s style of rhyming has earned him the respect of his contemporaries. Not to mention, he’s collaborated with Mariah Carey, Travis Scott, Lil Wayne, Kanye West, Ty Dolla $ign, Rick Ross and T.I. to name a few.
Over the years, the CLRD Entertainment founder has cemented his status as a force within the hip-hop landscape. His tongue-in-cheek charisma and success in the freestyle circuit are mere examples of the intangibles that make Price a standalone star in the truest sense.
About Price:
Since his 2009 introduction into the music industry, Price (also known as Larry Belafonte) has been behind some of the biggest records in the universe – from Hit-Boy’s ‘Grinding My Whole Life’ to Travis Scott’s ‘Antidote,’ and more. Price is one of the most gifted lyricists in hip-hop. Not to mention, he’s a prolific songwriter, producer, programmer and bonafide hit-maker that has worked with a long list of industry greats ranging from Jill Scott, Wyclef Jean, Hit-Boy, T.I., Rick Ross, and many more. He’s also a serial entrepreneur that owns/co-owns a soul food restaurant, food truck, recording studio, sports academy, hookah lounge, clothing line, charity and music festival. In the midst of expanding his endeavors, Price was hard at work writing, producing and programming music with Grammy award-winning artists like DJ Camper, Brandy and others. In the 4th quarter of 2020, the LA rapper launched his independent label CLRD. Entertainment and embarked on his solo career. With both of his introductory projects – CLRD. and F.O.E.S. – garnering millions of streams and critical acclaim, the industry quickly took notice of Price’s prowess as an MC. So much so, that in under a year’s time Price and CLRD. Entertainment partnered with the legendary Motown records.
