Canadian rapper/producer Night Lovell unveils his latest 12-track album, I HOPE YOU’RE HAPPY, available on all major digital streaming platforms. The album, boasting production by Outby16, marks his first music release in over a year and his fourth full-length project. The album, released via G59 Record$ features trap-metal trailblazer ZillaKami from the hip-hop duo City Morgue, and Doomshop/Sixtet artist Freddie Dredd.
“This album is about taking essentially all my life experiences since I was a kid, embracing them – whether they were good or bad – because they have shaped me into who I am today,” explains Night Lovell. “Every bad thing I’ve been through, everything that has been put on me, I embrace it. It made me f*cked up, but so be it, because it has made me who I am today.”
Complex Magazine praised the album’s hard-hitting single, “MY DAY IS RUINED!” for its “highly cinematic” and “visually bonkers” music video, marking a return to “what Lovell does best” with its “sinister bars and sounds.” In the video, Lovell takes on the role of six different characters with each experiencing harsh realities resulting in their days being ruined, often in a gruesome manner. You can watch the music video above.
Additionally, the album features Night Lovell’s fan-favorite hit that premiered around Halloween last year, titled “EYE SPY.” The music video, co-directed by Night Lovell and Avery Stedman, unfolds like an intense horror movie, following a psychotic antagonist who terrorizes a runway show and hunts one of its models with a surprise ending. It has garnered over 2 million views on YouTube.
In 2024, Night Lovell is set to headline a 32-city North American tour in support of his new music. These new tour dates will come on the heels of his 2023 tour with Florida rapper $NOT, as well as appearances at various festivals, including Rolling Loud in Los Angeles, Miami, Portugal, and Germany. The JUNO TV Rising Star achieved incredible success last year, earning two gold-certified records with his hit songs “Dark Light” and “HOT DEMON B!TCHES NEAR U!!!” 2024 tour dates are listed below.

About Night Lovell:
Night Lovell has captured audiences with his deep voice and eerie production, intertwining the realms of darkness and artistry. Emerging from Ottawa, Lovell grew up inspired by local musicians, including his father, whose middle name, Lovell, became an essential part of his stage name. The “Night” represents Lovell’s love for the nighttime when he is usually up late creating music. Although Lovell grew up surrounded by music and played the drums, his true music journey started at 17 when he decided to follow in his father’s footsteps. He began making beats one summer but soon realized that he wanted to be on stage, performing and connecting with his audience on a deeper level. He started exploring rapping over his own beats and putting a face to his music, leading to his first release as Night Lovell, ‘Dark Light,’ which has since become Gold-Certified.
Lovell quickly gained recognition for his unique and captivating style in dark trap and underground hip-hop. He released his debut album, ‘Concept Vague,’ in 2014 and graduated from high school, focusing on his music career. A European tour deepened his connection with fans, showcasing their die-hard loyalty. His second album, ‘Red Teenage Melody,’ came next, along with North American and European tours. In 2018, Lovell collaborated with $crim from $uicideboy$ on ‘Joan of Arc’ during his Australian/New Zealand tour. He released ‘Goodnight Lovell’ in 2019, coinciding with the ‘Night Lovell Rising Documentary’ at the Canadian Juno Awards.
In 2021, Lovell signed with G59, founded by $uicideboy$, and dropped ‘Just Say You Don’t Care,’ followed by his largest tour, the second Grey Day tour. He continued releasing singles, touring, and creating music videos while building anticipation for his upcoming album, ‘I Hope You’re Happy,’ set to release at the end of 2023. This album reflects on Lovell’s life and features an experimental sound, offering a fresh perspective and emotional depth, inviting listeners to delve into his experiences that shaped him.
