Fly Skinz – Road Runner [Music Video]

Chicago’s own Fly Skinz continues his hot streak with a brand new single titled “Road Runner.” The hard-hitting track follows on from the October-released “What’s Smoke,” produced by Don Cannon.

“Road Runner” is dominated by a low-note piano bassline as Skinz peppers the track with his signature animated flow. He reminds listeners that the best way to make more money is to diversify your revenue streams. In that perpetual paper chase, Skinz is willing to hit the road to support his hustle. He manages to do this all while touching down in major cities, making a name for himself as a road runner.

The accompanying video perfectly captures the flash and flare of Skinz’ fast-paced lifestyle as he raps about the adversity that comes with success. Watch above.

“Road Runner” and the aforementioned “What’s Smoke” are both precursors to Skinz’ forthcoming album, Godfidence, arriving next Friday, November 17th. The anticipated project will bookend a busy year for the indie rapper.

Check out “Road Runner” above and stay tuned for more from Fly Skinz soon.

ABOUT FLY SKINZ
Chicago’s own, Fly Skinz serves as not only an emblem of hope to his community, Roseland – “the trenches”, but for communities around the world. Whether from the trenches or not, his music is felt and understood by the masses due to his ability to create a cadence that provides confidence, hope, and the strength to persevere. His stage name came from his ability to confidently stay ahead of fashion trends and his last name “Skinner”. Before transitioning to an artist, Fly Skinz managed several Chicago artists allowing him to learn skills needed to survive in the industry. His breakout single “No Make Up” quickly gained recognition across Chicago music media. Throughout his career, Skinz has orchestrated a number of shows, performed across the country, and secured features from top artists from the trenches and in the industry like Jim Jones. Skinz won a marketing deal with Music Breakr where his music was compared to Rick Ross’ by Tuma Basa. Skinz’ rap style pays homage to legends while crossing over to melodic sounds creating a unique style that serves as a soundtrack to the voiceless. A man of many mantras, his brand “the Hope Dealer” is built on his ability to uplift people from the trenches.
