Airplane James – What I’m Into

LA rapper Airplane James released the official video for “What I’m Into” today, following his recently released EP, Still Hurt, on January 11th via Diamond Lane Music Group. In the stylistically black and white visual, co-directed by Airplane James himself, we see a swaggy Plane with LV locs on telling us what he’s into, in his own signature melodic wordplay. Still Hurt is Airplane James’ first offering of 2023, a thematic continuation of 2022’s Lowkey Hurt, featuring guest appearances from Rose Gold, Griff Tyler, Kay Franklin and Jayson Cash.

Still Hurt is available everywhere now, watch the “What I’m Into” video above.

Still Hurt comes behind the the wordsmith’s 2022 release ‘Lowkey Hurt,’ which was met with critical acclaim, with XXL highlighting that “[it] sees Airplane James showing off his impressive rhyme skills.” Lowkey Hurt is an ode to the LA women who have had Plane’s heart since the beginning. On the carefully crafted 8-song EP, Plane showcases his unmatched pen and lyrical prowess, with no assists, showcasing his versatility and vulnerability as both an artist and a writer.

Lowkey Hurt, followed the release of Plane’s 2022 surprise EP titled, Who The Fuck Is Airplane James 2, released last January after he scored the highest on A Day In LA’s The New LA Rap Report Card (B-). WTF2 features remixes for 2020’s “Impress Me,” with an assist from fellow hometown heat-seeker Bino Rideaux, and 2021’s “100 Bandz” featuring Diamond Lane label-mates, Bad Lucc and Problem.

With the release of his brand new project, new visuals and more new music on the horizon for the year, Airplane James is poised to have a breakout 2023.
