In the song, Kenyon serenades listeners with his smooth rhymes about romance, doing whatever it takes to ensure that his significant other is satisfied. With Kenyon’s vocals front-and-center, the LA-bred singer-songwriter delivers a track that revolves around an intimate experience between lovers. And when you’re having a good time, you never want the night to end – even if it’s getting late.
Kenyon explains, “It’s the perfect transition from Summer into Fall. It captures the nostalgia of The R&B we’ve always loved perfectly. Couple that with an innovative modern approach, allowing you to still showcase the progression of music overall and somehow it feels like the early 2000s all over again. It’s just one of them ones.”
Earlier this year, Kenyon independently released his sixth studio album in the last eight years titled Closer, contributing to his undeniable success as an independent artist. From touring as a backup vocalist (for Usher, John Legend, and Kelly Rowland) to showcasing his songwriting skills by working alongside R&B legends like Mary J. Blige, Tyrese, Ginuwine, and Justin Timberlake, Kenyon has managed to carve out his own lane in music while building a reputation for his pen and lyrical prowess.
Kenyon recently announced his Closer international tour, kicking it off in London, UK on October 26th. With all that he has accomplished so far in his career, it’s only a matter of time before Kenyon becomes a household name. His catalog is underscored by songs that have earwormed their way into the hearts of listeners, allowing the R&B crooner to fully embrace the wondrousness of love.
