G Herbo feat. Yosohn – FWM

G Herbo celebrates the A Side release of his new album Survivor’s Remorse with the music video for the intensely personal and lyrically potent opening track “FWM” [feat. Yosohn]. The visual sets the tone for this season and includes a cameo from Herbo’s little boy Yosohn, deepening the significance of this moment for the rising rap star. As always, he makes his presence known.

Among multiple highlights, the A-Side release includes a bona fide banger in the form of “Flashbacks” [feat. Jeremih]. It unites these two windy city titans on one instantly infectious and immediately impactful anthem.

Beyond celebrating the release of Survivor Remorse’s A Side, Herbo will notably celebrate his 27th birthday tomorrow, October 8. Maintaining a commitment to mental health, he also joins Charlamagne tha God’s Mental Health Expo in New York on the same day.

Preceding the release of Survivor’s Remorse, G Herbo linked with Future for his recent single “Blues.” Thus far, it has generated over 6 million global streams in addition to earning widespread acclaim from the likes of UPROXX, who observed, “Herbo brands his usual aggressive delivery, rapping over the ATL Jacob production.” Right out of the gate, REVOLT noted about the single, “Equipped with an assist from Future, the new offering sees them fusing their flows over some production courtesy of ATL Jacob,” and Complex touted it on“The Best New Music This Week,” going on to add, “The two spend the rest of the song reflecting on their journey from the mud to marble over an electrifying ATL Jacob beat.”

About the song, Herbo commented, “Future and I were going off each other’s energy. It came out naturally.”

Survivor’s Remorse is the culmination of everything G Herbo has experienced; it possesses duality from battle to triumph. Crafted with his most impressive songs to date, his two-sided and fifth studio album features his heavy-hitting peers, including Jeremih, Future, Offset, Gunna, Benny The Butcher, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, Young Thug, Meek Mill, Conway, and Kodak Black. It has all the makings of a monumental and momentous statement for the culture. See the full tracklisting below.

G Herbo’s latest chapter in his mental health journey kicked off with “Me, Myself & I” featuring A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie. Instantly, it incited widespread critical applause. The FADER noted, “The new track continues on the path Herbo laid with his 2020 project PTSD, an album about wounds both physical and unseen, and how easy it is to get sidetracked on the road to healing.” Complex named it among “The Best New Music This Week” and stated, “G Herbo gets vulnerable with listeners.” OkayPlayer touted it as one of the “Best Hip-Hop Videos To Drop Last Week” and added, “Narrative-driven clips always stand out.”

Last year, G Herbo unleashed 25 to widespread acclaim. Complex noted he “is reaching new heights,” and he certainly did. 25 crashed the Top 5 of the Billboard Top 200. It not only became his second straight bow in the Top 10 of the chart, but it also emerged as his highest debut yet. It has amassed over 200 million streams and earned widespread praise. Starring on the cover, KAZI Magazine went as far as to christen him “Chicago’s Street Rap Messiah,” and HYPEBEAST dubbed it “Arguably the rapper’s most vulnerable record to date.”
