G Herbo season is underway! The drill music pioneer and platinum-selling Chicago hip-hop luminary unveiled a new single entitled “Blues” [feat. Future] today. Listen to “Blues” above.
On the track, the production glistens beneath airtight verses from G Herbo. He rips through the beat as he promises, “Being broke that shit was wack. I ain’t never going back.” Meanwhile, Atlanta icon Future counters with a hypnotically hard-hitting cameo of his own. The song unites two uncanny forces on one banger.
About the song, G Herbo commented, “Future and I were going off each other’s energy. It came out naturally.”
Last week, he returned with “Me, Myself & I” [feat. A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie]. Instantly, it incited widespread critical applause. The FADER noted, “The new track continues on the path Herbo laid with his 2020 project PTSD, an album about wounds both physical and unseen, and how easy it is to get sidetracked on the road to healing.” Complex named it among “The Best New Music This Week” and stated, “G Herbo gets vulnerable with listeners.” OkayPlayer touted it as one of the “Best Hip-Hop Videos To Drop Last Week” and added, “Narrative-driven clips always stand out.”
Everything heralds his anxiously awaited new album, Survivor’s Remorse, coming soon, releasing in two parts, including an A Side and B Side. It has all the makings of a monumental and momentous statement for the culture. Pre-save it—HERE.
Last year, G Herbo unleashed 25 to widespread acclaim. Complex noted he “is reaching new heights,” and he certainly did. 25 crashed the Top 5 of the Billboard Top 200. It not only became his second straight bow in the Top 10 of the chart, but it also emerged as his highest debut yet. It has amassed over 200 million streams and earned widespread praise. Starring on the cover, KAZI Magazine went as far as to christen him “Chicago’s Street Rap Messiah,” and HYPEBEAST dubbed it, “Arguably the rapper’s most vulnerable record to date.”

ABOUT G HERBO:
G Herbo not only put his hometown of Chicago, IL, on his back as a rapper but also as a mental health advocate and community leader. He’s done so by surviving, and he’s built a celebrated body of work as a testament to how far he’s come. 2020’s gold-selling PTSD cracked the Top 10 of the Billboard Top 200 and delivered a mental health clarion call in the form of the platinum-certified title track “PTSD” [feat. Juice WRLD, Lil Uzi Vert, & Chance the Rapper]. He only fought harder in its wake with the 2021 follow-up 25, earning his second consecutive Top 10 debut on the Billboard Top 200 and first Top 5 entry. Of 25, Pitchfork proclaimed, “His music has become more urgent.” Collaborations with everyone from the late Pop Smoke and The Kid LAROI, to Dave East and Harry Fraud, followed in between performances alongside Miley Cyrus and Marshmello.
?Meanwhile, he founded Swervin’ Through Stress—a youth mental health program highlighted by Forbes 30 Under 30. Breathing life back into the Windy City, he will remodel an old, shuttered, public elementary school as a community hub. However, his sweeping opus Survivor’s Remorse makes a statement and shows exactly who G Herbo is.
